Never Trick Webmaster for Link insertion exact match anchor text
How tricking with webmaster comes under black Hat SEO?
Paying webmasters to insert links to your website.
This is considered a link scheme in Google’s guidelines.
It is especially black hat if you use what is known as exact match anchor text.
This means the words that make up the link are the keywords that the linked site is trying to rank for.
If someone wants to link to your site on their own, because you have an especially useful page, that’s one thing.
It’s another matter altogether if they link in a seldom-visited page, because you paid them to do so. Here this comes in category of Black hat SEO.
No Use Of Hidden Text
Another black hat technique is using hidden text – if the text is white, and the background color of pages is white, where the words being concealed are all keywords there only for the search engines to see.
Never try User-Agent Detection Technique cloaking
A newer black hat SEO tactic is where the server gives Google bot one set of content on a page, and the human visitors another set of content.
This is achieved by user-agent detection – testing to see what browser is being used to access the page.
Deceptive practices like trying to give search crawlers one set of information, while regular visitors never see that info is definitely a black hat practice. Contributor: John Locke
How Newcomer affected by black hat SEO?
Many newcomers end up using Black Hat SEO (i.e. make a lot of spammy backlinks, comments etc using automation software) because they want quick results and don’t want to spend time researching or look for the cheapest options.
Sometimes, Black Hat SEO can give good results, but only in the short term.
Search engines like Google are always getting smarter and they can now detect most type of Black Hat SEO, which actually ends up hurting the ranking, rather than helping it.
Bloggers should avoid spamming other blogs with their links, avoid making fake backlinks, especially those which are not even relevant to their site or topic.
Remember, there are no ‘short-cuts’ when it comes to ranking!
How Keyword stuffing be part of Black Hat SEO?
From a content point of view, the most common mistakes writers make is keyword stuffing.
If you are writing an article on a particular topic, focus on 1-2 main keywords alone, and tailor your content around topics that are closely related to the main keywords.
Two reasons why keyword stuffing is bad are:
>> Impact of Black Hat SEO on Bounce Rate of site
High bounce rate Even if you are ranking well initially, people will come and leave right away if the content that they have clicked is not what they were looking for.
Having a high bounce rate will be detrimental to your search traffic and SERP rankings in the long run.
User behavior tells Google that you’re not providing high-quality content to the correct audience, every time they ‘bounce’.
>> Impact on CTR
Poor CTR Many people stuff keywords in the Meta description of blog pages, even though this is not a direct determinant for SEO rankings.
Optimizing your content for Google rankings alone will lower your click-through rates, as your message may come across as overly static and robotic.
Poorly written Meta descriptions are even more alarming if you are writing in a casual, friendly tone for B2C products.
Because of this, put your main keyword in the headline and use the 160 characters that you have for the Meta description to convey the benefits of your platform to potential readers, and draw click-through rates.
